Homemade Coconut Yogurt

This was such a fun processing making my own yogurt. Store bought yogurts tend to have a lot of added sugars, fillers, and gums. Tastes delicious and has a nice smooth, creamy texture.

This was such a fun processing making my own yogurt. Store bought yogurts tend to have a lot of added sugars, fillers, and gums. Tastes delicious and has a nice smooth, creamy texture.

Recipe Coconut Yogurt

Ingredients:

  • 1-2 cups young Thai Coconut meat (1-4 coconuts)
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 2 capsules probiotics 
  • 1teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pitted date
  • pinch of cinnamon

Instructions:

Place the coconut meat, water, probiotic powder, dates, cinnamon, and vanilla extract in the blender and blend until smooth.

Ferment in a glass container with a  loose lid or paper towel and rubber band over the top for 24 hours.

  • Keep in dark, dry, cool place for 24 hours
  • Taste as it ferments, you might like it strong tasting or not
  • Fermenting process speeds up in warmer temperatures
